Project Description
China Magnets Source Material Ltd Provide Super Strong Precast Concrete Magnet for All Kinds of Formwork Construction.
With the continuous development of industrialization and the application of MIB (Management Information Base) technology, the level of industrialization in the construction industry is constantly increasing.
Due to its durability, flexibility and economic benefits, precast concrete has won a wide range of customers in the construction industry, both in domestic and international markets.
More and more precast concrete manufacturers are using factory precast, on-site installation methods to produce precast products. And these precast products are mainly used in walls, floors and even roofs from private houses to large buildings.

As a result, precast concrete has replaced many traditional cast-in-place concrete and become a new generation of commercial building material. It has been adopted as the main processing method by construction companies in many countries, ranging from Europe and the United States to the UAE and India, and now also spreading to China.
Application of Magnetic Formwork Technology in the Production of Prefabricated Components
Precast concrete magnets, which have been widely recognized and used in the production of PC components, are mainly used as magnetic fixing devices for building forms. Magnetic fixtures made from rare earth permanent magnets can avoid drilling holes in the mold platform and avoid damage to the rigid platform.
This extends the life of the component mold and reduces the investment in the mold. As a result, the amortization cost of prefabricated components can be significantly reduced and the economics of assembling integral buildings can be improved.
China Magnets Source Material Ltd. is a professional precast concrete magnet manufacturers, providing a series of magnetic fixing devices used in the production of precast concrete components, such as shuttering boxes (shuttering magnets), shuttering systems, insert magnets (anchor magnets), and magnetic chamfer.
At the same time, we have accumulated a lot of useful experience in the simulation of magnets, we can test and manufacture magnet components with the help of simulation software, focusing on providing comprehensive magnetic fixing solutions for precast concrete forms.
What is Precast Concrete Magnet devices?
Precast concrete magnets (PC fixing magnetic devices) are an innovative fastening method for construction Industry. They are a kind of large strong pot magnets holders designed with special magnetic circuits, including housings, embedded rare earth magnets and epoxy fillers.
They are placed on a steel moulding platform to fix formwork to the casting bed of the precast concrete, and can be used for various formwork structures such as wood formwork, steel formwork, aluminium formwork and so on.
How to Select Magnets for Precast Concrete?
Rare earth magnets are the core part of concrete magnets. And NdFeB magnets are so strong that a very small magnet can pick up objects that are several times heavier than itself. Therefore, more and more NdFeB magnets are chose to process into pot mounting magnets, which are used in various areas of our life, such as fixtures for lamps (car lights, work lights, LED lights, sign), fixtures for various automation equipment and tools, merchandising display accessories, door closers, etc.
High temperatures can cause magnets to lose their magnetism. Conventional NdFeB magnets have an operating temperature of 80°C and can be used in normal room temperature environments. When high temperature operation is required, a higher grade of high temperature NdFeB magnets should be selected. For specific needs, please contact us.
The physical properties of sintered NdFeB materials are hard and brittle. Therefore, NdFeB magnets are not only easily oxidized and corroded, but also easily broken. And once the magnet is damaged, the magnetic force is greatly reduced. So the magnets cannot be struck with external force and the plating of the magnet surface cannot be destroyed.
When we design formwork magnets, we have to consider not only the operating temperature, but also how to improve the durability of the magnet. Here are our solutions.
- NdFeB magnets need to be plated (such as NiCuNi or Epoxy plating), which can avoid magnet body damage and protect them from rust and corrosion.
- Where magnets and iron bars are assembled into magnet assemblies, the surface of the magnet should be lower than the plane of iron bar so as to effectively avoid impact.
- An epoxy layer will be poured between the magnet and the iron bar or a stainless steel ring will be added directly to the magnet.
How to Choose Stainless Steel Housing for Precast Concrete Magnet Devices?
The shell materials include stainless steel and high-strength carbon steel. The thickness is generally 3-4mm for concrete formwork magnet assemblies. In addition, some magnetic fixing products will be supplemented with additional rubber and aluminum alloy materials.
In terms of rust resistance, stainless steel is superior to high-strength carbon steel, greatly extending the service life of the precast concrete magnetic devices. And in terms of strength, high strength carbon steel is superior to stainless steel. In terms of price, carbon steel is cheaper than stainless steel. You can choose the right material and thickness in combination with the actual use.
According to our order data, most of the foreign countries use carbon steel as the shell, while most of the domestic PC prefabricated components manufacturers use stainless steel magnetic box. Why is this?
Most of the domestic precast concrete manufacturers use domestic prefabricated mould tables. The flatness of the steel side moulds is poor, and the operation is not standardized during construction.
This has resulted in domestic precast plants often having large amounts of concrete slurry spilling out of the steel side moulds at the site during the production of precast components.
Spilled concrete can have a strong corrosive effect on the steel cover, which requires them to have a good resistance to corrosion. The conventional concrete formwork magnets with carbon steel housings are not enough for production.
Classification Of Precast Concrete Magnets
According to specific usage scenarios, precast concrete magnets can be divided into four types: shuttering magnets, shuttering systems, magnetic chamfer and insert magnets. In addition to standard products, each type of magnetic concrete formwork system can be manufactured according to the customer’s requirements (e.g. how much suction force to achieve, what size to use).
Precast Concrete Shuttering Magnets
Shuttering magnets is a magnetic fixing device specially developed for fixing precast concrete formwork; simple structure and easy to use.
In the production of PC components, compared with the traditional mechanical fixing of screws and nuts, the shuttering magnet box does not require drilling, welding, and will not damage the mold table; it can adapt to different template systems, and it is quick and easy to disassemble. It can be reused and has a high economic benefit. Moreover, because of its strong holding power, it can effectively reduce the process and time of installing formwork, improve the work efficiency.
Embeded Precast Concrete Fixing Magnet
Inserted magnet is a magnetic fixing device specially developed for fixing various pre-embedded parts, which consists of two parts: a magnetic base with screw holes and a threaded rod with six holes; at the same time, we also produce a variety of pre-embedded magnets with rubber cover.
The production of precast concrete components requires a variety of switch and pipe holes, as well as pre-built links or lifting sleeves. It is fixed with inserted magnet, which will not damage the platform, and can ensure that the buried parts do not slip, accurate positioning, firm fixing, simple operation and high efficiency. At the same time, this magnetic holder can be used repeatedly over a long period of time to achieve cost savings.
Precast Formwork Shuttering Systems
The precast concrete shuttering system is composed of formwork steel bars and an embedded magnetic suction cup system. The steel moulds can be made in a variety of sizes to suit the side moulds of different concrete side molds. By means of a suction cup, the die can be pulled to the bottom of the side mould, so that the edges of the component to be formed are fixed.
Since the steel die and suction cup are one piece, there is no position shift, ensuring that the side die system does not deform. Also the simple and quick operation of the suction cup makes the whole work safer and more stable. With a matching pry bar, the suction cups can be pried up and the steel forms can be easily removed from the formwork side platform. Since the magnetic suction cup system is located inside the steel molded channel, concrete residue or other dirt will not damage the entire side mold system.
Magnetic Concrete Chamfer
In the production process of PC components, magnetic chamfer strip is a magnetic fixing tool to generate chamfers. It can be used to form a 45-degree beveled edge on the two surfaces where the concrete meets, or when using a chamfer-free side mold, if a chamfer needs to be generated, a chamfered magnetic strip can be flexibly used to form a triangular groove on the concrete. Depending on the material, we produce magnet chamfer that can be divided into steel and rubber types.
Magnetic rubber chamfers are lighter than magnetic steel chamfer and both right-angle side are magnetic. It also has a certain bendability, which is very convenient in the actual production and use. At the same time, rubber magnets are relatively simple to manufacture, with short delivery times and cheaper prices than strong magnets.
Magnetic steel chamfer is made of steel and neodymium iron boron magnets with high strength, non-slip and non-deformable. The built-in NdFeB magnet can be positioned exactly anywhere in the base or side mold. Chamfer strips can be reused for cost savings. We can produce magnetic chamfer in various sizes: single or double sided magnetic.
What Are The Advantages of Precast Concrete Magnets?
- Screws, bolts and welding processes can be avoided during the positioning process and stainless steel plates can be protected from damage;
- The installation is very simpleand the positioning is very precise;
- It can improve installation efficiency and reduce labour costs;
- We can use them repeatedly over a long period of time, reducing material costs and ultimately shorten the payback period;
- We can effectively solve the environmental pollution caused by construction, and has high safety.
Maintenance & Safety of Precast Concrete Magnets
- In the process of using the precast concrete magnet, it should be prevented the use of hard tools, such as knocking, bruising, etc., causing deformation of the magnetic devices, or even damage to the magnet, so as not to affect the magnet performance. If a tool must be used, a rubber hammer is recommended for gentle tapping.
- The magnetic forwork accessories should be kept clean and flat to prevent iron chips or concrete slurry from entering the inner side, which will affect the flexibility of the switch, and at the same time this may cause the magnetic block to tilt, fail to fit the platform evenly, and even reduce the suction force.
- The mounting magnet is very strong, should be avoided near precision instruments, electronic instruments and other devices susceptible to magnetic influence, but also not near other ferrous materials, once adsorbed, it is difficult to separate. It is recommended to make special toolboxes for magnetic fixing devices and other magnetic holders.
- The working surface of the precast magnet component should always be kept clean and flat at all times. If not used for a long time, the holding surface should be oiled to prevent rust. The magnet should be checked frequently for a smooth fit to the platform and the flexibility of the switch so that it does not interfere with normal use.
- Note that the actual operating temperature should not exceed the maximum operating temperature of the Construction magnet.
